The Archives shines a light on the memory of the Holocaust, which is at risk of erasure. The hallowed places of stored history are the searching grounds for descendants who seek evidence about their family histories. Their champions are the dedicated archivists who have uncovered, documented, and preserved the documents. Using animation along with vérité documentary, the film shows how the archives bring the searchers the truth, as well as a measure of restorative justice.
